The reduction in the allocation for wireless microphones and hearing aids is a consequence of a decision from the Government concerning the band 694-790 MHz. The use of wireless audio transmission in the broadcasting bands 174-240 and the 470-694 MHz takes place at the frequencies in the band which is not used by any broadcaster or digital audio radio transmitters in the geographical area, the so-called 'white space'.Īvoid new purchases of wireless microphones and hearing aids equipment using 694-790 MHz, because the use from 1 January 2018 is illegal in this frequency band.
